When to Seek Emergency Care

The decision to seek emergency services for your pet is often critical.  The following signs may help you determine if you need to seek immediate care:

  • Difficulty breathing
  • Acute abdominal swelling
  • Excessive vomiting or diarrhea
  • Excessive bleeding
  • Symptoms of heat stroke
  • Repetitive and prolonged seizures
  • High or low temperature (more then 104 or less than 100 degrees)
  • Unable to urinate or defecate
