medical services Dr. BrookeOur many medical services include vaccinations, pet dental care, surgery, boarding, diagnostics (radiology and laboratory testing), laser therapy and micro-chipping.

Digital Radiographs

Radiographs (X-rays) are extremely important for diagnosing and monitoring many medical and surgical conditions. My Pet’s Vet is equipped with a state-of-the-art digital x-ray machine.

Ultrasound

Echocardiograms and ultrasounds are pain free, non-invasive procedures that use sound waves to provide real time images. These are also anesthetic free diagnostics that enable us to do guided biopsies, cytology, cystocentesis, etc. Board-certified doctors in internal medicine actually do and interpret these procedures and are available for consultation as well.

Laboratory Services

medical servicesOne of the most important aspects of a medical regimen is the ability to perform a wide range of laboratory tests to evaluate your pets overall health. Our in house lab provides us with fast, accurate results. In addition, Antech and Idexx, leaders in companion animal diagnostics is used for additional specialized testing.

Pharmacy

We have an extensive inventory of medications that can be dispensed before you and your pet leave our hospital. We carry a full line of shampoos, flea and tick products as well as heartworm preventives.

Microchipping

Each year millions of pets go missing and many never make it back home. We use the HomeAgain microchip system. The microchip registers the animal with a unique identification code that is filed in a database with your contact information. With the HomeAgain microchip your pet can be identified quickly and easily by shelters or veterinary hospitals.

Surgery

Whenever necessary – we’re ready. Routinely we handle procedures such as neuters and ovariohysterectomys. But more invasive or life saving surgeries (spleenectomy, cystotomy, enucleation, enterotomy) are also in our full complement. Most importantly- no procedure simple or critical is taken lightly or without full support and attention.

Full Dental Care

Dental care is critical to your pet’s overall health and well being. If left untreated, dental disease can lead to serious systemic issues not to mention the obvious pain and negative impact on daily routine. As needed, personalized surgery and restorations is available.
